Facebook used in study

In a study being made by researchers at Harvard and UCLA, Facebook is being used as a testing ground for their studies in relationships, tastes and habits and this relates to the way social relationships, the study is using certain classes at one college for this research.

Facebook is a network of over 58 million users all who have profiles that are based on likes and dislikes which is why this makes such a good research tool as the study can locate people by many parameters.

But there is a danger here of the research not being representative of the users or people in general as with many of these social networking sites what is seen on the profile is not exactly an accurate portrait of the persons likes and dislikes.
