No more privacy

In the wake of the data loss from the government where twenty five million names, addresses and bank details were lost in the post, there are calls for an improved Data protection act, however according to Dr David Murakami Wood from Newcastle University believes that it was out of date even before it came into force.

The data protection act was based on the computing power of the late 1970’s there was no networking or anything like we see today.

But the most intrusive measure so far has to be in the mobile phone industry, from now on all mobile phone companies will have to keep records on all calls made, fine you might say, but the intrusion is that who can have access to this information, everyone from your local authority to the gaming commission, why?

The day of the private individual have long gone!
