Thousands of malware sites removed from Google

After thousands of redirects were found on the search results on Google, the search engine has done a little bit of spring cleaning by removing over 40,000 of the sites for the index, this figure may not initially seem to be a lot, but 40,000 different sites would be showing up on many search returns.

These redirects are not necessarily dangerous but could, and this is why internet users should keep the security measures in place all of the time.

The scale of this problem is probably not even known and probably will never be, but as long as everyone is aware of this then the practice would cease to be productive, this would make it impractical for the bad guys to make anything out of it, hopefully!
