Leaked emails cost $825,000

There would seem to something going terribly wrong with many of the nets anti piracy organisations, and MediaDefender is no different, they have seen some very sensitive information leaked out via email, letters and even phone, this has put the into a very unsteady situation.

In fact the total cost of this leak has cost them around $600,000 to in service credits to their customers plus another $225,000 legal costs etc.

What sparked this off was the email leak which saw around 700 mb of emails leaked on BitTorrent, these emails gave full details of how MedisDefender worked and what their procedures were, it could have ruined them, but now it would seem the $825,000 will ruin them.
