Wireless networks still at risk

Having a wireless network at home or in the work place is great, but there some security issues which still cause people problems, such as the system being open to bandwidth theft and system exposure. In order to ensure that your network is protected by:

Changing the password on the router
Enable encryption procedures provided by your router
Change passwords on remote access points
Don’t use unsecured wireless hotspots
Make sure any hardware that is sold, is cleaned of software etc
Always use wireless security software

Following these procedures on a regular basis will certainly give someone looking to gain unauthorised access to your wireless network and run for their money.
