Security weaknesses in Leopard

Buyers of the new Apple operating system, Mac OS X Leopard could be making their computers less safe and secure than before, this surprising news comes as the system that is supposed to make the computer safer does not work as you would expect it to and therefore could leave the machine open to an attack from the outside.

The problem lies with the firewalls default setting, this you would have thought will block any incoming connections, but unlike a new machine with the new Leopard operating system installed, if the operating system has been upgraded from a system that had a firewall protection on, then the new Leopard system will turn it off, therefore leaving the system open to attack.

Obviously anyone upgrading to the new Leopard operating system will need to check these setting before connecting to the internet!
