Who sends the spam?

We all know that spam is a problem; I mean if I wanted to buy viagra I would go to the GP. But spam is more annoying than anything else, especially when you work with computers, so where on earth does it all come from?

You may be surprised to hear that almost thirty per cent of all unsolicited emails come from the USA, and they are trying to sell us all manner of crazy things, most of which are not really suitable to be repeated.

Yet with thirty per cent of the market share in spam you would have thought that their CAN SPAM act would have been able to stop it or a good portion of it, but no. It fact the next country comes in with a mere five per cent, and that is South Korea. Naturally us Brits have tried to get in on the act but the UK is a poor tenth place with just over two and half per cent.
