Remembering your passwords

Having to quickly think of a PIN or Password can sometimes be difficult especially when in a hurry, but all of that could be a thing of the past with some new software that has been developed by researchers at Newcastle University.

This software will be used in conjunction with mobile phones and hand held computers and instead of those old fashioned PIN’s and password this system will use pictures to allow access.

What one does is draw a picture over an image, and the software remembers it and therefore all that is needed to access the device or data again is draw the image, hopefully the image that is drawn is the same as the image in the memory! The background image is supposed to help with that as it is easier to remember where the first point is.
