Keeping email safe and secure

Despite what anyone may think, emails can be seen by anyone who could be bothered to sneak around the local network. This may sound a bit alarmist but if you think that some people send over personal details such as dates of birth, addresses, credit card and banking details via an unsecured email, now it sounds serious!

With this information there could be a possibility of ID theft.

So what can be done about it?
