Don’t Panic when Windows won’t boot
When the computer comes in alright, but the operating system is messing around, there are couple of things that you can do:
One is putting your fist through the screen, this is not recommended as it has been proved to be expensive and it just will not fix the problem.
The other thing is to do a bit of trouble shooting, which is probably the thing to be doing at this stage.
So what sort of tools is available to you?
Use a Windows start-up disk
Use Last Known Good Configuration
Use System Restore
Use Recovery Console
Fix a corrupt Boot.ini
Fix a corrupt partition boot sector
Fix a corrupt master boot record
Disable automatic restart
Restore from a backup
Perform an in-place upgrade
Good Luck!
