Microsoft finally releases S3 for XP
At last Microsoft have released the Windows XP Service Pack Three (SP 3) and by now it should have been loaded onto the Microsoft servers and eventually be ready to download very soon. The SP 3 will not be available for the automatic download yet, but can be downloaded from the download centre.
The service pack includes every previously released update for Windows XP, these will include all of the security updates, hot fixes and even out of band releases that have been sent out since the early days of XP, which was back in 2004.
The actual date for the service pack to hit the automatic update system has been initially given by Microsoft as the 10th June 2008, which is still a long time off. But as stated previously it can be downloaded manually through the download centre providing everyone else is not trying to do at the same time.
