Terrorists use same tactics as US Military

The rise of social networking has taken many people by surprise; this would include the security services and military that have realised that these tools could be used by terrorists and their supporters in order to exploit weaknesses in some personnel who work for the government departments.

But it has also been noticed that if these tools can be used by people looking to join up with the terrorist cause. This is an early warning system and can help governments prevent the growth in the so called home grown terrorist, before they have a chance to fall under the control of a terrorist or criminal organisation.

But it is the US military that are using social networking groups to train their people and even help them to gather basic intelligence. In fact they have been using their own social networking site which is used by military personnel to share intelligence and other information. This system works so well, they now believe that this is how terrorist groups communicate too.
