Internet privacy in danger

In the states they have the same problem as we are about to get here in the UK when it comes to internet privacy. Like here internet service providers in the states have been monitoring their customer’s internet surfing activities, which for most users is not really acceptable.

The idea behind this is for the ISP’s to be able to not exactly monitor the internet habits of users but it is an attempt to discover the internet habits and choices of their subscribers in order to be able market products and services that would be an interest to them, in order to make money out of advertising.

The whole concept is scary to some people, the very thought that there is someone watching what you are doing on the internet. But clearly this is not going to be so, this is a software application that collects information anonymously and directs advertising which you maybe interested in. or does it?
