Passwords by passed by Firewire

There seems to be a worrying trend with regards to how someone can access a computers RAM with another computer via the firewire connection, this can be done quite easily and within a few seconds which makes the whole thing very scary indeed.

Apparently all that is needed to attack a computer is another laptop with a firewire ready to use, this has been proved with a demo by someone who knows how to it, they used a Linux based OS and were able to get into the Windows OS and unlock the passwords with no need reboot needed at all, this can be done in a few seconds.

There has been a warning regarding this before, but this may have been deemed a rumour rather than fact, but it is very real now and everyone should be very wary of someone walking around with a laptop that has a firewire hanging out of it!
