How internet censorship has grown
There was a time when the internet meant that for those who were able to connect it, there would be a whole world of information. In those early days it was called the Information Superhighway and indeed that was how it was.
But recently the superhighway has been affected by some minor blockages, these are not accidents as such this is beginning of Internet Censorship and no matter what the reasons are, like protecting children or a state stopping its people from viewing sites that they would rather they would not see, this is censorship on a grand scale.
There three basic types, home - where parents block access to unsuitable sites this understandable, business – many businesses have blocked access to the internet or to certain sites, this is to increase the working day, prevent harassment, and stop out communication and finally many states restrict internet access, this can be from one page to complete web sites, security is normally the main excuse for this.
Censorship is around the internet already and restrictions are bound to get tighter, rather than to opposite.
